This is a lovely Mid Century reproduction of a 19th century Italian serpentine bombe commode.
Hand painted in a custom mustard yellow & antique white geometric pattern to all sides and top.
Made from solid oak this is deceptively heavy for its compact size.
There are 3 deep, full width drawers and lovely claw & ball feet detail to the front legs. The back legs are flat square making it ideal to fit flush against a wall or skirting.
In the AI image example (Photo 2) I have shown this in a hallway space but it could equally be used in any room of the house.
The Italian design with the painted finish lends itself to the master artisans that would paint furniture to demonstrate classical order and high social status. This reproduction is a perfect example of this style and looks great in both vintage and contemporary designed spaces.

The colouring and ageing techniques used during the restoration process also add to the individual style.
