COMMISSIONS

I love turning no longer loved furniture into a new favourite, so before listing it for sale or taking it to the local recycle centre, why not consider a makeover?

My bespoke commissioning service provides an opportunity to transform unloved & unwanted wooden furniture into a stand-out piece.

The arts & crafts movement proclaimed that everything in the home should be functional and beautiful. More often than not, old furniture is functional and crafted to last out of high quality solid woods like oak & mahogany but over the years, the original wood stains & shellac varnishes have lost their appeal and no longer suit some more contemporary spaces. I work closely with you to review colours & finishes that will ensure your re-loved piece of furniture will fit perfectly within your space.

Start by sending me an email simon@jumbletique.co.uk with photos & measurements of your furniture. If you can also provide additional photos of the entire room where your re-loved piece will live this will help me get an idea of colours and size of your space.

If you prefer to chat first, please give me a call 07824 771140 or drop me a text.

I'll then get back to you with some suggestions on how you can transform the piece into your new best friend. Often furniture hardware such as handles and hinges need to be either renewed or thoroughly cleaned and so I will also advise on this before getting started.

Once the look has been decided, I can then pick up your furniture (you can also drop off if you prefer) and get to work.

Once finished I will then personally deliver your furniture back to you and position it in its new place.

Prices vary depending on size, complexity and the desired artistic style of finish of each piece so please do get in touch for an initial discussion & I can show you examples with costs of something similar.

Delivery times vary but an average timeframe from receiving your order to final delivery is around 3 to 5 weeks.

Please note that quoted prices will include all paints, waxes and sealers. Additional costs may apply if your furniture requires some structural restoration and for any change to furniture hardware however, these are always discussed prior to any work starting. Collection and delivery fees are also an additional charge if your location is more than 10 miles from my workshop near Fakenham, Norfolk.

A 30% deposit of the total fee plus any collection charge is required at the start of the project with the final balance due on day of delivery/collection.
