Discovered in a church in Derbyshire, this lovely folding chapel bench would have been used during a Sunday School as additional occasional seating when required between the wars around 1930.
Now it could be repurposed as a handy side table or continue its original use as a bench seat.
The folding metal mechanism beneath is still very strong and could easily handle the weight of a couple of children or if you prefer, a couple of full plates of savouries if you end up using it next to the couch.
There are two identical benches available. Please note that the price listed is for one bench only. If you would like both, please drop me an email or give me a call and we can reduce the two by a further 10%.
These little chapel benches would work perfectly in the hallway for sitting to remove shoes and also are easily folded away to maximise space if necessary.
