This is a gorgeous miniature chest of Collector's Drawers from the very early 20th century. Likely 1920-1930.
They have been scratch built from old French cigar boxes. You can see the detail of the original boxes on the inside of some of the drawers. (see images)
A lovely piece of personal history. I can just see the old man (or woman I guess), sitting in their workshop making these wonderful drawers while smoking away on their French Cigars and quite possibly nursing a large Cognac.
